A bruise (medically referred to as a contusion) is caused when tiny blood vessels are damaged or broken as the result of a blow to the skin (be it bumping against something or hitting yourself with a hammer). The raised area of a bump or bruise results from blood leaking from these injured blood vessels into the tissues as well as from the body's response to the injury.

It is true that shells have been found on the top of mountains in fact Charles Darwin was fascinated by some of the shells that he found on the tops of the mountains of South America during his trip aboard the H.M.S. Beagle. He wondered how they ended up so far away from the ocean in which they normally would be found. The reason for this is because thousands of years ago mountains would not have been so high and would have been covered by water. Over millions of years mountains become higher and rise out of the water but the fossils remain within the rock. To fully understand this you need to see how mountains are formed. Why not visit www.edu.pe.ca/southernkings/mountainmm.htm

could u remind me what condensations is again i forgot i think it is...................
| Mr Raven | 26 January 2006 00:00:00 |
Different types and age of calculators work with a range of chips so it is difficult to answer your question.
| Mr Raven | 26 January 2006 00:00:00 |
Condensation is when a gas turns into a liquid. Think about water vapour which turns to a liquid when touching the bathroom mirror.

how do computer devices work ?
| serena and donata | 20 January 2006 00:00:00 |
how do computers work ? | |
| Mr Raven | 20 January 2006 00:00:00 |
Computers are made of many electronic components or parts. These components each have a special job and they all work together to make your computer operate. Some components are hidden inside the computer, where you can't see them. Others can be seen partly from the outside.

It would be difficult to seperate sand, saw dust and metal but you could do it. First you could use a magnet to take out all of the pieces of metal. Then you could use a filter/strainer to seperate the saw dust and the sand.
| 6M | 11 January 2006 00:00:00 |
What is condensation? | |
| Mr Raven | 11 January 2006 00:00:00 |
Condensation is when a gas changes into a liquid. An example of this is when you breath warm air out of your mouth onto a cold window. The gas gets cooled down quickly and turns into a liquid, which you can sometimes see dripping down the window. Condensation also occurs in the bathroom when the hot water tap is left running. Again you can see the condensation on the mirror or windows.

if you have two soilids mixed with a liqiud(hot water) could the solids melt
| Mr Raven | 11 January 2006 00:00:00 |
If you have two solids in hot water they could melt. Imagine you put a solid piece of chocolate into hot water, it would melt. However, some solids melt at a much higher temperature. Take a piece of metal, for example, if you put it in hot water it will remain a solid.

whats a consumer again?
| Katie | 09 January 2006 00:00:00 |
Hi This website is really good
| Mr Raven | 09 January 2006 00:00:00 |
A consumer is something that eats something else.
| 6c | 09 January 2006 00:00:00 |
What is filteration? | |
| Mr Raven | 09 January 2006 00:00:00 |
Filtration is where you seperate two or more substances using a filter. For example you may have a mixture if water and sand. To seperate the two you could pour the mixture through filter paper and the water would pass through but the sand wouldl get caught. This is filtration.
